Located in St. Augustine's historic uptown, walking distance to the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park and about a mile from the Colonial Quarter, with a trolley stop directly across the street.

WEATHER UPDATE

Tropical Storm Isaias is in the Gulf. It is forecast to make landfall as a hurricane along the central Gulf Coast (southeast Louisiana to the western Florida Panhandle) Friday night into Saturday. St. Augustine is well east of the projected track, and at this time we are moving forward with the meeting as planned.

Please plan for a wet weekend. The National Weather Service is forecasting showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday, breezy northeast winds, and highs in the low 80s, with conditions improving on Sunday. Pack an umbrella and rain jacket.

If you are flying yourself in, please check weather carefully, plan for IFR conditions, and build some flexibility into your arrival and departure. If you are flying commercially, watch for possible delays at Southeast airports as the storm moves inland. Your safety comes first. If weather changes your travel plans, just let us know. We will email and text you if anything about the meeting changes.

Fuel Discount at Atlantic Aviation (KSGJ)

Atlantic Aviation at Northeast Florida Regional Airport is welcoming FPA to St. Augustine with a fuel discount for meeting attendees: $0.75 off the posted rate on both Jet A and avgas at the time of fueling.

To take advantage of it, mention that you're with the Flying Physicians Association when you call to make your reservation.

You can also set up an account on their website and plan your trip there — the site shows all fees associated with your stay, which are aircraft-specific.

Please send your tail number to the FPA office in advance. Atlantic may stage FPA aircraft together on the overflow ramp depending on how many of us fly in.

Shuttle: We will have a shuttle to take you from KSGJ to the DoubleTree on Friday between 10:00am - 12:30pm. We will also have a shuttle on Sunday morning between 7:00am - 9:00am. Sign-up onsite for the return shuttle.

Explore Historic St. Augustine

Our meeting sits in the heart of the nation's oldest city, so there's plenty to enjoy between sessions. Saturday afternoon (roughly noon–5:00 pm) is left open for you to explore at your own pace — everything below is within easy reach of the DoubleTree:

Castillo de San Marcos — the 17th-century Spanish stone fortress on Matanzas Bay, and the oldest masonry fort in the continental U.S.
Old Town Trolley Tour — a hop-on, hop-off narrated loop that's the easiest way to see the city's highlights and step off wherever catches your eye.
Historic Old Town — cobblestone streets, St. George Street's shops and cafés, the Cathedral Basilica, Flagler College, and centuries of history all within a walkable few blocks.

CME Evaluation

The AAFP has reviewed FPA 2026 Fall Regional Meeting and deemed it acceptable for up to 4.75 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from 10/09/2026 to 10/10/2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

To claim CME, complete the evaluation by October 31, 2026.
